Poem as a Voice of My Soul
Author: MANGALAPRATHABAN
Poem speaks as a voice of my soul beyond my presence. I feel, thoughts fly away without wings and scuttle across my imagination. Poems are born with energy and inspiration to lull my sensuous heart.
Poets are mystics lost in a conscious world of rational plurality. I sense the bliss of pleasant exuberance unraveled as words speak cosmos of emotions and feelings through the ocean of mystery and passion.
Every poem is born with subtle fusion of the self and its environment. The context of this imaginative sculpt is not just conditioned by episteme but prioritized with conscious assertion of the unconscious. In this process of evolution, poem grows and spills into an endless expedition of ecstatic interpretations.
The Poet remains as an observer and of course, a vehicle of this personal and sometimes, transpersonal emotional rejoice. There is a spirit of salvation while participating in this very process of creating a poem and a sense of relief springs while discharging the energy within towards accomplishing a concrete art of imagery too. This is undoubtedly an experience of melting one’s passions and reasons to shape the unknown.
The plethora of its aura minds the social milieu with a mission for transmission of all that it is or what it can be in the secret sectors of the readers’ minds. There can be a transfusion or multiple coding of the actualization of the poetic essence in every moment of reciting a poem. Thus poems create a vast space for transmission of our intuitive imagination beyond just the verbal imagery of our prose.

Before looking for a publisher, you need to find an agent. No one at a publishing house will even speak to you (let alone READ your work) without an agent.
You can try to contact agents directly (through directories and the like) or look for local writer’s group and be introduced to one through other writers’ connections.
I don’t live in your area so I wouldn’t know how to find other writers, but why don’t you try searching online for local writers’ circles?
this article and the links in it shgould help you

If you’re publishing it (contest counts) you should get permission.
Your best bet is to get an agent to deal with the publishing house. Specifically one that has worked wih poets before. They can get through to someone that will be friendly to your work. With no representation it makes it difficult.
The site may hold copyright, you should find out what their policy is. Some publishers may not publish something once it has been on a website — they consider that previously published. Other publishers may accept it if you can prove you have the rights.
You should be able to Google copyright law for India, in US copyright you own the rights once the work is in a fixed form (written, typed, saved in electronic medium).
Good luck.
I have a book called Read Me and Laugh which features a poem for every day of the year, it is published by Macmillan and the poems are chosen by Gaby Morgan, I think they have different books like this though. Hope it helps (=

In all honesty, nothing.
Not many poets make money from their work, some may earn grants to write poetry – but they don’t earn a living from poetry, they usually earn their money from giving speeches about poetry or teaching etc. and This is only usually successful with professional modern poets.
However if they do publish it – you may receive a free copy of the finished article at the most.
Always copyright your work no matter what.It only costs 35 dollars to do it.30 or 35.I am sure of this. You can download the form right off the Internet.I just downloaded mine and printed it out.Good luck.
What are the names of some poetry publishers that are currently accepting unsolicited manuscripts?
I have been trying to find a poetry publisher for my book of poems, but most of them keep saying that they are not “accepting unsolicited manuscripts at this time.” Do you know of any publishers, or mags that I could submit my poems to, including chapbook publishers?
Note: I do not want to publish my work with poetry.com, Publish America, Authorhouse, or lulu.com.
Thank you.

A few years ago, my daughter entered an old poem I wrote in a contest. The publisher was choosing so many for publication, and if your poem was chosen, you got an offer to buy the book. Anybody have a clue what I am talking about, and the name of the book and publisher?
