I’d suggest opening up your own blog – that way, people can publicly give you feedback. Everything is already protected and no one is going to deny your content because the site is solely yours.
If you happen to compile all your writings and may want them to be in book form, then maybe it is time to get ahead with your publishing career.
You can forget the grants. You can either send a submission package to an agent, or try to market it yourself. A good agent is as hard to get as a publisher. Traditional publishing means you print out a perfect copy of your manuscript, cover letter, intro letter, contact information, return postage and SASP, and send it one at a time to every publisher in NYC one at a time. (THey usually reject in about 3 months and they don’t like multiple submissions. So after you;ve been rejected by all the NY publishers which are your only chance for an advance, then you publish it yourself.
Pay for the copyright ($30) then go to a POD publisher (print on demand) like lightning press.
Lightning Press is print on demand but they are also keyed in to the big distributors.
Literary Works
Follow these steps to register your book, manuscript, online work, poetry, or other text:
Step 1
Make sure your work is a literary work. Literary works may be published or unpublished and include nondramatic textual works with or without illustrations. Computer programs and databases also are considered literary works. Here are more examples and specific information.

Step 2
Put into one envelope or package:
a completed application Form TX or Short Form TX and Form CON if needed (choose which form to use)
a $45 payment to “Register of Copyrights.”
nonreturnable copy(ies) of the material to be registered. Read details on deposit requirements.

Send the package to:

Your registration becomes effective on the day that the Copyright Office receives your application, payment, and copy(ies) in acceptable form. If your submission is in order, you will receive a certificate of registration in approximately 4 months.
