Best Way To Try Salvia For First Time
Author: Andrew Symonds
Since salvia is an herb that is meant for medicinal purpose, the use of it is legal in most countries except for a few. It is also not a very harmful drug and gives pleasure only for a short period of time. Teenagers and middle aged people who are in the habit of exploring new
adventures love to have a taste of this weird drug that provides an elated feeling that lasts only
for a few minutes or to the maximum of half an hour. The drug is sold in various forms like extracts, leaves etc. packed and sold in varying weights and sizes. Salvia can be chewed and swallowed or smoked and inhaled. According to the method of use salvia has to be bought from the stores. If it should be smoked or chewed, the leaves are used and in the event of swallowing, people usually use the extracts by placing drops of it under the tongue.
However, if one is planning to use salvia for the first time, it is essential to keep the mind free from stress and feel relaxed. It should be remembered that this is not a drug meant for use during party time. It can be used in the presence of one or two people. Since this is the first time a sitter would be good, or a person you trust who is not taking the drug with you.
It would be extremely beneficial, especially since this is the first time, to turn off the TV and radio switch, take the phone off the hook, and keep pets away for a while. This is going to take only a short while that would last up to half an hour and hence a time like late in the evening would be ideal. A bit of music can be played only if one is a music lover, otherwise just a trusted friend or a sitter would be fine. Get relaxed and feel comfortable while reclining on a couch or bed in a semi-darkened room. In preparation take about 3 to 4 pinch hits of the salvia leaf, the size can be as that of a pea for each hit. Use a water pipe or maybe a bong; the water pipe should be filled with cold water or ice chips. With the help of the sitter, the leaf dust can be loaded into the pipe.
Use a lighter to light the pipe and not matches. Suck on the pipe while the fire is still burning on the salvia. This would vaporize the herb which can be drawn in for a minimum of 20-30 seconds on a first attempt. After exhaling completely, then second inhaling and exhaling, then the third one immediately after the second can be followed. A few deep breaths can be taken in between each hit. The entire process would be finished in less than two minutes.
After this there should be no movement or talking unless there is a problem that the sitter detects. One should lie still for ten minutes with eyes closed. During this time a peculiar fairytale
like feeling would engulf and you would have a feeling like flying in space or viewing your favorite movie, seeing strange things happening. Enjoy every moment of this feast and just don't
get distracted.

How much for first time authors to first time bestselling authors actually make? SERIOUSLY!?
I really need to know how much first time authors really make in publishing their fiction? How much CAN and DO they make from first time author to first time best-selling author? What is the comparrision?
Please help me out here. I am not interested in becoming rich or wealthy. I just want to make a totaly of ten thousand to twelve thousand dollars.
My mate Bill Swampy Marsh is an author, and has had about a dozen books published, google his name if you want, but the thing is, after he had accounted for his time in writing books, he reckons the returns are about equivalent to $1.50 per hour.
It’s hard to make money as a writer, the publisher will give you about $2 per book sold if you are lucky. And as a poet, you would be lucky to sell 600 books in Australia, and that would make you a best seller in that genre.
Having said that, there is no stopping a person with the passion to write. Good luck to you, may you strike it lucky like J.K.Rowlins.
look up the site BookWire, they generally keep a statistics section.
What % of first-time authors fail to sell 1,000 copies?
I’m just curious–I read somewhere that it is very difficult for first-time authors to get their books published. I think I also read that a large % of books don’t sell over a few hundred copies. Anyone got any stats?
Unfortunately, you did not mention anything about the type of writing that you are looking to have represented. Different agencies and publishing houses specialize in different genres of writing. You should look for people that represent similar books to what you have written– this way, they will know how to best market it!
I would suggest starting with the latest copies of Writer’s Market and the Guide to Literary Agents. I know that my public library has copies of them as well, if you are not interested in purchasing them.
http://www.writersmarket.com/ has a searchable database of the listings found in their books, as well as an online store where you can take a look at all their different options.
http://www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/ is a great way to do your research as well, as it is a quick reference to avoid scams of any sort that a writer might encounter.
Happy writing!
What is a good Publishing Co & Lit Agent For First Time Authors?
In the US, or Canada ? Looking for a reputable, long standing, many yrs as a publishing CO . Not interested in AuthorHouse, or Self-Publishing, or EBooks. This is strictly for first time authors finding an experienced, honest Publishing Firm and Lit Agent. Please provide names, physical addresses and phone numbers for such sources, not only a webiste. Not interested in scams, so please do not post that. If you don’t know about the company or Agent yourselves, then do not post it. If you do know good pub firms and agents yourself, then please post it:) Mature replies please.
I will be researching & Investigating such sources through the BBB, Consumer Affairs, and other areas to make sure this firm & Agent is legit and operating in a legal manner. No Scams, or you will be reported.
Listen, this is the truth. No reputable Literary Agent will ever ask
you to pay any money to read your novel. That is not the status
quo. It is considered unacceptable amoung honest Agents. So,
you don’t have to pay for a reading. But, some Agents may ask
for mailing, shipping or whatever. That is ok. Keep fishing until
you get a good one. If your lucky enough to get published, many
publishers will give you an advance on your book. Here is a web-
site for Reputable Agents ( who are well connected). Here it is:

Does anyone know of a good literary agency for first-time authors?
I’m a teenager and I just finished editing my first novel. Where can I send it that will represent without charging reading/editorial fees?
What is the best way for first time authors to break into print?
What is the best publisher that takes first timers? I’ve done vanity presses, but I really want to be a real author. Maybe start with childrens books and work my way up. How is the market for short fiction? Is editors and predators really helpful or do some grubby moeny grabbers fall through the cracks? Just asking have a super marvelous Zipbiferous most wonderful day.
Didn’t know the question seemed to reapeat itself I think the button stuck sorry, but thanks for all the answers.
As a fellow writer, your best bet would be to get the book: 2007 Writer’s Market. They have a large list of publications across the globe. You can a lot of your material published with the companies listed in that book.
Or another option would be to publish yourself and possibly even make money off it online. http://www.lulu.com you can sell your own material.
Hope this helps. Trust me the Writer’s Market book is a great book.
