I Want To Publish A Book
Types of Generators
Author: Barney Garcia
Generators are used for the generation of electricity and they ensure that most of the essential appliances can be run whenever there is a power outage. Generators of different wattage capacities can be used according to the needs of the individual. The choice of buying the right type of generator depends upon a number of factors like the wattage capacity, voltage ratings, fuel type, fuel efficiency, noise level, portability and price – a prudent choice can only be made if you knew what to look for.
Stand By – Standby generators provide backup power in homes and offices and are permanently installed outside the house or office building. They are plugged into the electric circuits or home wiring. – The unit turns itself on and off automatically. They can automatically detect disruption in the usual electric supply and begin supplying power within a few seconds. – Propane and natural gas offer a safe, long-term fuel supply and are more environment friendly than gasoline or diesel fuels. – Like any motor, a generator motor creates quite a bit of heat and needs a cooling system to prevent overheating. Standby generators can be either air-cooled or liquid-cooled. The major difference is that air-cooled systems are louder and not quite as effective. Liquid cooled systems are quieter and more dependable – and also more expensive to purchase and to maintain.
Portable – Portable generators are usually used in places where there is no power supply such as construction sites, camps, etc. These generators are sufficient to run appliances like televisions, refrigerators, sump pumps and furnaces. – Portable systems are wheeled units that require to roll the generator outside, start it up, and hook it up to a power inlet box Portable generators supply electricity to selected appliances through extension cords. – They are fueled by gasoline, which can be difficult to store and transport during a blackout. Carbon monoxide is always a concern in the safe use of portable generators. – They are designed to be used for short periods of time only a few hours at a stretch. As a result, they tend to be much smaller and less expensive.
A related aspect of generator motors is the speed at which they run, as measured in RPMs. Generators made for the US market operate at one of two speeds: 1800 RPM or 3600 RPM. 1800 RPM motors will last longer and run quieter; 3600 RPM motors are smaller and lighter

If your books are really good quality then you should have no problems finding a literary agent and publisher. Publishers want well-written, original manuscripts and if they buy it they pay you an advance and royalties; you don’t pay them anything. If you’ve already tried that route and got turned down every step of the way then that’s a sign that your books aren’t as good as you think. Just something to think about.
Also, if you don’t have money and have bad credit then why are you trying to self-publish? Self-publishing costs lots of money. And, if your books are as good as you say then no one is going to know they exist unless you spend money marketing, promoting, and advertising, and this entails hiring professionals to do it for you, unless you already have those skills. If you don’t have the money to do all those things then you shouldn’t expect much from self-publishing, but do expect to lose your money on the endeavor. GL.
If you want to print your books, try lulu.com. It’s cheap.
I agree with Michele – self-publishing is a waste of time and money. You’ll sell about 40 copies, mostly to people who already know you. Which would you rather have – a large royalty on a few copies, or a smaller royalty on a much larger number of copies?
But the reason most companies won’t take you is because you’re not legally an adult, which means you can’t enter into a contract with them – and if you can’t do that, they can’t legally print your book. But all you need to do is ask one of your parents to sign the contract on your behalf. Of course, that means they get the royalties. They’re supposed to pass the money on to you, or hold onto it for you until you become an adult. If you don’t trust them to do that, you have worse problems than we can solve here, and you should wait until you’re 18. You’ll be a better writer for it anyway.
EDIT: cathrl – I looked up “Moon People” the last time you mentioned it. It seems to have become something of an Internet phenomenon, so it may have sold more than the usual 40 copies. The reviews indicate that it’s not merely bad in the way that the average self-published novel is bad, but hilariously bad – the sort of thing that might one day inspire another Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. I suspect that most of the sales can be accounted for by the same instinct that makes people slow down when they see a traffic accident…
I just want to second the Lulu recommendation. I’ve used them for a family book myself, and I felt that the results were quality.
http://www.lulu.com – that’s their site
If you would like to see a sample book, you can look at my blog. I took pictures of the actual physical book.

Lulu is Print On Demand, so you only have to pay for the price of each book you want and shipping.
Best wishes!!
are you in UK or Iran?
PS. ignore these stupid people with their horrible remarks, there’s lots of them here!
Publish it as an ebook on the Internet. Ebook readers are probably the “next big thing”.
There are websites that allow you to do this, usually at first as a free download. Do an Internet search for such websites.
Alternatively set up your own website, build up a fan base, then approach a commercial publisher.
Good luck.
Start with the local librarian. See if there is published material on the history of your town. Ask if there is an HIstorical Society. Try the local newspapers. They often have important information archived. Put a small ad in the local newspaper asking people for information. Go to the buildings themselves and ask for information. Try the local building department. If you know the exact address of the building, they will be able to pull up blueprints and other information for you. That should get you started. That is a lot of work. Pax-
You need to find an agent or a publisher who deals with your genre (horror) and is accepting new clients. A good start is Writer’s Market, a book that should be in your local library. They also have a website (www.writersmarket.com), but they do charge a fee for accessing their database. Another good source of information is Alexandra Sokoloff’s latest blog, http://thedarksalon.blogspot.com. She names quite a few sources for finding agents and publishers.
If you are writing mostly short stories, consider horror magazines. Writer’s Market also lists magazines that accept submissions.
If you find you are getting a lot of rejections:
1. Find a writer’s group or a writer’s conference where you can share your writing with others and get helpful ideas for improvement, or
2. Hire a professional editor to work on improving your writing.
Most importantly, don’t give up! Good luck!
I might help you if you already have a good idea what you want to say and if you’re willing to pay my fee. I must warn you—it will be more stressful than you think. However, do not despair, it’s well worth the effort. I f you can furnish the details I need, such as: names, dates, sites, etc. we can begin more easily.E mail me

How do I publish a book that I want to keep just for family and not for stores?
I know this may sound really silly but I was wondering if someone could tell me a place where I could go to get a book published. I’m writing one about my dad and his toll on cancer. I don’t want it to be in stores. I don’t think it’ll be a huge hit, but I’d like to get about 10 copies for my family members. Can anyone help me out with this?
