If you have a deadline, you are implying that you have already made first contact with the agent or agency. Why don’t you make second contact and ask, “What exactly do they expect?”
The reason that I say this is because some people ask for a synopsis and the first three chapters while some ask for the entire manuscript (especially for fiction). I would think it’s better to ask and look new to the game than to be turned down because of lack of professionalism. Just my two cents.
Good luck!
I’m gonna send my book to a literary agent… How?
Should I send the whole thing in or just the first chapter or maybe just a summary.. Or what should I send in?
Is there any online guide to this? Or maybe a book on this? I have dead line on sunday, I gotta send it in then.
