How to Legally Gain Access to Music, Ebooks and Other Digital Products for Free

Author: Mike Knowles

Did you know that you can use Google to find otherwise expensive music, games and ebooks for free? Many products, including those intended to be purchased through supposedly “secure” channels, such as iTunes, paypal or the clickbank marketplace, can be hacked…

Don’t believe me? Copy and paste the following text into Google to search for Timbaland’s newest single

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(wma|mp3) “Timbaland”

As of the time of this writing, the fourth search result will take you to an index full of mp3’s by Timbaland, Fabolous, Soulja Boy, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Avril Lavigne, Eminem, P. Diddy and several others. Change “Timbaland” to another artist’s name and there’s literally no limit to what you can turn up. When you find a valid directory such as this, simply right-click on the song, then choose “Save Link As” or “Save Target As” to download it to your hard drive.

This same expression can be modified to search for ebooks, software and other digital products.

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(pdf|doc) “ebook”

This is a great way to find ebooks on everything from web design to How To books on router hacking to digital copies of the Harry Potter series. Some of these are meant to be freely available, but most are intended to be sold, sometimes for hundreds of dollars. I don’t know how anyone else feels about it, but why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

To modify the search string for other products, you need to know that anything between the ” ” is taken as a whole word. ‘intitle:index of’ is at the top of every index page and is probably the most important word in the search string. The ‘-htm -html’ parameter at the end excludes the pages without index.htm or index.html, giving us only directories in our search results. For music, you will likely be searching for mp3 or wma files. For ebooks, pdf and doc types are your best bet. For software, you can give the zip and rar extensions a shot.

Again, this technique won’t work for every product out there, especially those of which that have been protected or encrypted. However, you can hack many mp3’s, ebooks being sold through clickbank and paypal and software packages without much effort.

Finally, there is another, much more powerful technique that goes above and beyond what is described above. To get that one, however, you’ll have to visit my site www.ebookhacking.com and download the very reasonably priced (ok, so it’s cheap) report available there. It is guaranteed to have you hacking clickbank products in no time flat.
