Why don’t you use an online diary that can be password protected?
If that isn’t what you want to do, I’m sure Walmart sells them.
Or maybe look at Michael’s arts and crafts stores or something.
But using an online password protected diary seems easier.
& it’s free.
Here are some online diaries you could use:

diaries (not children’s diaries) that you can have a password for?
I dont want to get a simple lock one because anybody can get a key for them, especially if they have a diary ith the same lock (and most do)
so either i need a diary that you can have a password for, a way to put a password on a word document so only i can see it, or a diary with a lock different to the same old diary lock
are there such things, and if so where can i get one?
You should definitely read A Great and Terrible Beauty (and it’s sequels Rebel Angles and The Sweet Far Thing). They are a great trilogy! And they have a lot more to them then Lock and Key in my opinion. Good luck choosing!
Which book should i read first?
I can’t decide.
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
-“Ruby, where is your mother?”
Ruby knows that the game is up. For the past few months, she’s been on her own in the yellow house, managing somehow, knowing that her mother will probably never return.
That’s how she comes to live with Cora, the sister she hasn’t seen in ten years, and Cora’s husband Jamie, whose down-to-earth demeanor makes it hard for Ruby to believe he founded the most popular networking Web site around. A luxurious house, fancy private school, a new wardrobe, the promise of college and a future – it’s a dream come true. So why is Ruby such a reluctant Cinderella, wary and defensive? And why is Nate, the genial boy next door with some secrets of his own, unable to accept the help that Ruby is just learning to give?
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
-Gemma, 16, has had an unconventional upbringing in India, until the day she foresees her mother’s death in a black, swirling vision that turns out to be true. Sent back to England, she is enrolled at Spence, a girls’ academy with a mysterious burned-out East Wing. There Gemma is snubbed by powerful Felicity, beautiful Pippa, and even her own dumpy roommate Ann, until she blackmails herself and Ann into the treacherous clique. Gemma is distressed to find that she has been followed from India by Kartik, a beautiful young man who warns her to fight off the visions. Nevertheless, they continue, and one night she is led by a child-spirit to find a diary that reveals the secrets of a mystical Order. The clique soon finds a way to accompany Gemma to the other-world realms of her visions “for a bit of fun” and to taste the power they will never have as Victorian wives, but they discover that the delights of the realms are overwhelmed by a menace they cannot control. Gemma is left wi! th the knowledge that her role as the link between worlds leaves her with a mission to seek out the “others” and rebuild the Order.
are kids entitled to privacy from parents?
I believe they are, so I don’t snoop in my kids lives unless they are shady and I feel something is wrong. My husband thinks they aren’t entitled to privacy. He reads my kids instant messages, my daughters texts, asks the parents of the kids my children hang out with of everything they did, he’s tried bugging the phone but he doesn’t know how. my daughter’s aren’t even allowed a lock on their room or their diary, and with every online password in the house, he has to have it and if he doesn’t, they can’t use it. I think a line has to be drawn. He’s worried, I understand, but I’ve raised my kids to be wholesome, genuine people. and even through all there non misbehavior or tendencies to do bad things, my husband still treats them as prisoners.
Here are my questions:
do you think kids are entitled to privacy?
are there any exceptions? if so, what?
how can I talk to my husband about this?
Thanks in advance for any honest, not rude answers I will get!
to add into this, there are locks allowed on the doors because with a smany people in my houuse, accidents would happen left and right if doors couldn’t lock. they merely need them so they don’t walk in on each other, but if my kids had a friend of the opposite gender in the house, the door MUST stay open.
I am a mother of 4 teens. When I was a teen my mum invaded my privacy every chance she got and blew everything out of proportion. This destroyed any relationship I had with her and I never went to her with any issues I had. With my children I respect their privacy and expect them to respect each others privacy as well as mine. I have found that they feel comfortable enough to talk with me about the big issues. The best suggestion I can give with regards to your husband is to ask him how he would feel if every aspect of his life was laid bare to his boss, or if you pried into every moment of his life. Even those of us who have nothing to hide feel uncomfortable with the idea that a third party has access to everything.
I didn’t read it all. Thing is Resident Evil is done like diary entries and even media footage to tell the story. I think I Am Legend is done like Science Research Reports.
can you please check my answers i really need to pass?

Do you like my story? Please comment and give advice.?
I am writing a story which is going to be like a zombie survival story. I’ve planned alot of it, like the setting, characters, the virus, all of that. I want the book to start off with diary entries, explaining what has happened so far to the main character. So the diary entries are kind of like the introduction. Then after them I will begin writing in first person. Here are the diary entries I’ve made, these are just a draft, I can change them as much as I want.
December 21st, 2014.
On the internet there are pictures of zombie-like creatures everywhere. Some people think that there is a virus spreading, just like in the movies. It hasn’t been on the news or anything, I just found the pictures on the internet a few days ago. They look real, but it’s stupid to believe zombies are real. Probably just some guy trying to scare everyone.
January 5th, 2015.
There are lots of pictures now, and even videos of these zombie creatures. Some people are convinced, even scared. The government has been informed, and the pictures and videos are now on the news, but are still considered a bunch of lies made up. I think it could be true.
January 20th, 2015.
There has been lots of incidents of people disappearing now. On the website they say it’s because all the people disappearing are becoming zombies. The government still hasn’t found them because they stay indoors, and go out at night. The government is investigating the disappearances, but they still think the zombie idea is a lie. Many people, me included, believe that its true. There has been videos of people being attacked by zombie looking things at night. It all looks very real.
February 3rd, 2015.
The government has finally taken action. One of the zombie creatures has been captured and the government is running tests on it at the moment. Already 7 people have disappeared at the school I used to go to, I left last year when I was 16. Peoples parents are taking them out of school, and keeping them in the house, scared that their children might disappear too. My parents told me to stop going to work at night.
February 10th, 2015.
The government has confirmed this to be an virus epidemic. It is spreading very fast. I’ve lost contact with 2 of my friends already. Everyone is very scared, and chaos has erupted on the streets. People are sending complaints to the government, saying they are not working hard enough, more and more innocent people are disappearing every night. The government still have no explanation for how this virus came to be.
February 15th, 2015.
There has been riots on the streets, people protesting that the government help them. The government has made some rules: all doors and windows must be locked after dark, no one is allowed out of their home after dark under any circumstances. My parents are very scared for me and my little brother and sister. At 6pm we all have to lock every door and window. Yesterday dad even began barricading some windows.
February 20th, 2015.
The government is taking serious action. There will be evacuations starting tomorrow during the day, all people who want to be evacuated out of the city are taken to a special camp that is fortified by military defenses. The government says that it is not big enough to hold everyone, and that has caused huge riots. My parents are taking the whole family to the evacuation tomorrow, they want to be the first people into the camp.
February 22nd, 2015.
My family has gotten into the camp. There are military everywhere, the walls are huge, it is like a city. On the news there are reports of massive riots, people saying the government should be letting everyone into the camp. After 2 days it is already quite packed, and after a week it won’t hold any more people.
February 28th, 2015.
The camp is full and there are still innocent people that are in the city, where all of the virus infected zombies are. On the news it shows massive crowds of people at the camp gates, demanding entrance. The military are trying to force them back, and even people in the camp are shocked that they are sending innocent people back into the city. There are big riots inside and outside of the camp. Chaos is everywhere, and the military is losing control of the civilians.
March 2nd, 2015.
The crowds of people on the outside of the camp are building up, from the inside we can hear the shouting and chanting of people demanding entrance into the camp. Somehow the virus has began spreading INSIDE the camp, which was considered safe. There are military searching the camp for any infected, but they cannot find any zombies. It is spreading so fast because there are so many people all in 1 place. Last night I could’t get to sleep, there was screaming in the streets of the camp, and the chanting of the crowds outside the camp gates never stops, the riots are continuous.
March 7th, 2015.
I have lost my family. Last night I heard screaming and my parents told me t
run, so I ran for my life. I have been searching all day for my little brother or sister, but they are no where to be found. Soldiers have been marching through the streets, shooting any infected on-sight. People have been sleeping during the day and staying awake during the night, because everyone is too scared to sleep unprotected.
March 10th, 2015.
The front gate of the camp has been knocked down by the raging crowds. The people from the riots have swarmed into the camp thinking it would be safe, only to find blood and destruction, dead bodies of infected zombies everywhere. This has made it worse, as now there are even more people that can be infected. The military and government has fallen, the prime minister is dead, and all hope is lost. The number of zombies in the camp has doubled. All survivors are leaving the camp, and wandering the city. I am going to stop writing now, and will also leave the camp. No where is safe.
